Homes are expensive things. It takes a lot to sell a home. That’s why, when we were approached by Hollinwood Homes, we knew we had to make something magical. They’re the residential property arm of the Marcus Worthington Group, and they’re building new developments across the North West.
Hollinwood Homes wanted a website that reflected their professional image. It needed to show a serious side, a great reputation and their high standards of customer service.
They struggled with their own site with adding new information, so their new one needed a fantastic content management system.
We made a site for them to be proud of, complete with a detailed search function, custom contact forms, an email newsletter sign up form, spec sheet file downloads and galleries to show off all of those beautiful homes.

Travel company Flight PA approached us with a brief to develop a brand new website to promote their dedicated first & business class travel agency.
They were looking for absolute perfection, after all, they specialise in luxury travel and their website had to reflect the superior customer service the company provides.
In addition to the shiny new website, FlightPA gave us the task of producing a brand new logo. After a few revisions (and a lot of coffee!) we arrived at the perfect solution – a logo they could be proud of.
Based around the WordPress platform, the site includes a bespoke booking system, alongside a vast array of information pages to showcase their stunning business and leisure destinations.
Spirit of Whisky is no ordinary online whisky shop. They’re a premium store, and they wanted an elegant and lounge-like ecommerce website for the online sale of their products.
We put our shoes on, combed our hair and got ready to create a seriously sophisticated website.
They wanted ‘gentleman’s club’ colours, a reliable online shop where they could sell their fine whiskies and a content management system so that they could add and remove their products, change information and keep their site regularly updated.

Homematas are a long-standing provider of bathrooms and kitchens. From tiling and lighting to sinks and showers, they do it all. So, when they decided that they wanted to be even bigger, we were happy to be their chosen web designers for a new and improved website.
Their existing website was outdated, so we gave them a whole new look with a complete rebrand and all the content writing and image manipulation that they could possibly need. We did showroom photography and image enhancement, and we installed Google analytics so that they could see the impact their new site was having.
Now, Homematas can bathe in the glow of their shiny new website, designed to show off all of the amazing furnishings they sell for the home. Their old site wasn’t receiving many visitors, and people were disappearing almost as quickly as they’d appeared. Thomas James Holidays were so happy with the first website we made for them, that they came back to us when they wanted a new one! They knew that the web was moving on, so they asked us to update their website to make use of new technologies.

Whilst every endeavor will be made to ensure that the website and any scripts or programs are free of errors, Curlykale cannot accept responsibility for any losses incurred due to malfunction, the website or any part of it.
The website, graphics and any programming code remain the property of Curlykale until all outstanding accounts are paid in full.
Any scripts, cgi applications, php scripts, or software (unless specifically agreed) written by Curlykale remain the copyright of Curlykale and may only be commercially reproduced or resold with the permission of Curlykale.
Curlykale cannot take responsibility for any copyright infringements caused by materials submitted or used by the client.
Any additions to briefs provided will be carried out at the discretion of Curlykale and where no charge is made by Curlykale for such additions, Curlykale accept no responsibility to ensure such additions are error free and reserve the right to charge an according amount for any correction to these or further additions.
The client agrees to make available as soon as is reasonably possible to Curlykale all materials required to complete the site to the agreed standard and within the set deadline.
Curlykale will not be liable for costs incurred, compensation or loss of earnings due to the failure to meet agreed deadlines.
Curlykale will not be liable or become involved in any disputes between the site owner and their clients and cannot be held responsible for any wrongdoing on the part of a site owner. eg. Any disputes re content/images that have been provided to us for inclusion on the site.
Curlykale will not be liable for any costs incurred, compensation or loss of earnings due to the work carried out on behalf of the client or any of the clients appointed agents.
Curlykale will not be liable for any costs incurred, compensation or loss of earnings due to the unavailability of the site, its servers, software or any material provided by its agents.
A deposit of approx 20% is required with any standard project before any design work will be carried out. This figure may be higher for websites of an adult nature and is non-refundable.
Once a website has been designed and completed the final balance of payment is then due in accordance with our payment terms.
Non payment will result in legal action being taken if necessary. Once full payment is received for a website, it is assumed that the project has been completed to the clients satisfaction and no refunds can be offered. We do offer free updates for a month after completion to allow for any final amendments that may be required.
Database, Application and E-Commerce Development
Curlykale cannot take responsibility for any losses incurred by the use of any software created for the client. Whilst every care has been taken to ensure products are problem free and accurate, the ultimate responsibility lies with the client in ensuring that all software is functioning correctly before use.
Where applications or sites are developed on servers not recommended by Curlykale , the client is expected to provide or seek any information,additional software,support or co-operation pertaining to the server required in order for the application to be correctly developed. Where large applications are to be developed, it is the clients responsibility to provide a suitable testing environment which is identical to the final production environment.
The client is expected to test fully any application or programming relating to a site developed by Curlykale before being made generally available for use. Where “bugs”, errors or other issues are found after the site is live, Curlykale will endeavor (but is not obliged to) to correct these issues to meet the standards of function outlined in the brief
Compatibility
Curlykale will endeavor to ensure that any developed/designed site or application will function correctly on the server it is initially installed in and that it will function correctly when viewed with the web browsing software Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 7 and to an acceptable level with Webkit browsers. Curlykale can offer no guarantees of correct function with all browser software.
Website Hosting
Whilst Curlykale recommends hosting companies to host websites, no guarantees can be made as to the availability or interruption of this service by Curlykale cannot accept liability for losses caused by the unavailability, malfunction or interruption of this service, or for loss of turnover, sales, revenue, profits or indirect, consequential or special loss.
Curlykale reserve the right to refuse to handle in any way, material which may be deemed offensive, illegal or in any way controversial, and also to terminate the free hosting service should the necessity arise.
Logo Design
Unless specified upfront by the client, stock illustrations may be used to keep logo design costs down
Website Optimization
Due to external factors, such as changes to the way search engines rank websites, we cannot offer any guarantees regarding the position we will achieve for websites. The process of optimizing websites itself will bring in more traffic and hits and you’ll see visits increase to your site naturally. We cannot accept liablility for any change in rankings, or drop off in the position of your website due to changes in the algorithms of the search engines or the factors that they use to rank websites.
We use ‘white hat techniques’ when optimizing websites and always aim to achieve a top ten ranking for your website within six months of undertaking the optimization process. Due to the work involved payment is generally required in advance and we are unable to offer a refund of any moniesto clients in relation to this type of work.
Curlykale reserve the right to refuse to handle in any way, material which may be deemed offensive, illegal or in any way controversial.
Payment of Accounts
A deposit is required from any new client before any work is carried out. It is the Curlykale policy that any outstanding accounts for work carried out by Curlykale or its affiliates are required to be paid in full, no later than 30 days from the date of the invoice unless by prior arrangement with Curlykale
Once a deposit is paid and work completed you are obliged to pay the balance of payment in full. We will contact clients via email and telephone to remind them of such payments if they are not received when due.
If accounts are not settled or Curlykale have not been contacted regarding the delay, access to the related website may be denied and web pages removed, we will then pass such cases to the Small Claims Court to pursue payment, non payment can result in county court judgements (ccj’s) being added to the clients credit rating.
Following consistent non payment of an invoice our Solicitors will contact the client in question, with a view to taking the matter further and if need be to seek payment through legal procedures, and if necessary court summons.
Cancellation
You can cancel at any time, you will not be charged for any work carried out, your deposit however is non refundable
Your Privacy
We do not share or sell any of your details with third party companies, without your express permission and we will only email you or contact you about work related matters.
Complaints Procedure
Informal procedure
Anyone who experiences a problem with their web service provided by Curlykale should raise the matter directly using our online contact form to do so, giving sufficient information to locate the material (such as an url) and clearly outlining the grounds for complaint.
Curlykale will approach the individual responsible for the material in question with a view to resolving the matter to the satisfaction of the complainant.
Formal complaints procedure
The formal complaints procedure should only be used where the complainant feels that the nature of the complaint is too serious to be dealt with informally, or where a satisfactory conclusion has not been reached after following the informal procedure.
A formal complaint should be made in writing to Curlykale , who will acknowledge receipt and ensure that the matter is looked into as soon as possible.
An initial response to any complaint can be expected within seven days of its receipt; a full and considered response to the complaint should be completed within 30 days and any subsequent remedy implemented with the minimum of delay.
The internet is becoming more and more complex, your customers now expect to be able to interact with you in many more ways than before, from simple membership systems, to full blown social networks, online configurators and feature rich online applications.
We approach our development projects like any other project. Your site must be easy to use yet interesting enough to stand out from the crowd, whilst still performing excellently in the search listings. Alongside this you’ll need a custom content management system with the features you need, and none of the fluff often contained within an ‘off the shelf’ management system.

Thomas James Holidays offers mobile home holidays in the Vendee on the West coast of France. We are primarily an internet sales based company so having the correct website image is vital.
When we set up the company we had a clear idea of the type of website we wanted including a content management system and contacted and visited a number of local companies but until we met Curlykale no one seemed able to transfer our thoughts onto a webpage. Curlykale had an attractive website itself and a good portfolio of websites and as our initial email enquiry received a friendly, informative reply from Adam we arranged a meeting in Preston with him and Matt.
Adam showed a genuine interest in our ideas and was able to doodle some good initial thoughts on screen during our conversation. Adam was in constant contact with us throughout the process; from the websites conception through to the finished product. We provided Adam with lots of pictures and pages of text and left him to it. He came back constantly with different ideas and designs and the site evolved naturally from this exchange of ideas. The logo itself was Adams idea and suited the company perfectly so much so that he also designed the signs for our mobile homes and a great looking postcard both incorporating the logo.
The eventual website evolved into something quite different than what we had first envisaged but was far better for it. The best tip is to let Adam explore his ideas and see what he produces!
It’s no good having a great new website if no one sees it so we also engaged Matt to do the SEO, the results were not instant but over the months we moved from nowhere to appearing on the front page of Google searches for our keywords.
Our website was launched mid-January of our first season, a tight timescale for holidays that start in May, but with the combination of an attractive website, good SEO work from Matt and a PCC campaign organised by Adam we had a successful season and have gone from strength to strength since then.
The after sales service from Curlykale has been exemplary; nothing is ever too much trouble, even out of office hours. Things are explained in a non technical way and advice given to guide you in making decisions.

Premium whisky retailer Spirit of Whisky were looking for an attractive e commerce solution to kick start their retail journey.
We took Captain Bathtime by the hand, and we led them to success. We listened when they said that they wanted a quirky site that stood out from the crowd, because we know that the industry is saturated. Excuse the pun. They told us that customers should be able to pay for their products with PayPal.
Bubbles! So many bubbles! We loved working with Captain Bathtime. They needed an easy to use ecommerce website to sell all of those lovely, bubbly goodies, from bath bombs to bath melts. They were a start-up business, and they quickly discovered that building their site with a template builder wasn’t working for them.
From the minute we stepped into the offices of Curlykale, we knew straight away that we had made the right choice!
