Upon the sunday of last, my partner wanted to get a new mobile phone so we headed into Preston town in search of a phone. Now I’m usually not keen about going into phone shops. They are huge shops with not much in them and have sales people ready to jump on you when you walk in. The last time I was in one I was very blunt and had none of this ‘up sell’, I left with exactly what I wanted and nothing extra. Perhaps this just means I don’t really have many experiences of being in mobile phone shops and yet to have a good experience of one, therefore I need to hold my judgement.
So we approached the phone shop and started to browse the lovely shiny new phones on display and a gentleman came over and asked if he could help. To which my partner replied, “yes”. Then the gentleman, called Dave, proceeded to ask various questions about what type of phone he wanted and demonstrated the phones. Now right from the start Dave was great, he was calm, he was friendly (without wanting to be your next best friend!), he was non pushy (big plus!) and very helpful.
I won’t bore you with all the details, although the pricing list was very reasonable, but I have to say it was a very relaxed and easy service from the phone shop. At curlykale we like to provide this type of service to people who pop by and see us. Giving them the information they require without the pushy pushy sales.
Nice, friendly and untrendy
I think curlykale lives in a little special world that few other design company reside. We are nowhere near a back bedroom operation and we certainly are not a big design company. We are a small business in a small cramped office…and I adore where and what we are.
We work with a lot of similar businesses, from start ups to family run businesses, (we have also recently attracted some bigger businesses who seem to like our no-messing-around attitude but this is not part of this particular ramble)
