It’s been a long day. 6,780 things are going on at once, new office milk procedures are being put into place…yes indeed its the usual blog moan about being busy…

Fear not brave Blog reader, for this is a short blog posting. I have mentioned it time and time again, but our clients are gorgeous, wonderful, inspiring people. I feel so lucky that we seem to attract such wonderful business folk into the Curly fold.

I adore the knock at the door, the jingle of the phone, the twerrrrrring of twitter to see who’s getting it touch…every day at Curly Towers ™ is so fantastically different to the one before it.

As always, thank you to all of you lovely people, those currently onboard, and those considering it :-)

Golly. The New Year has started in an epic format at curlytowers ™ I know you are bored of hearing me moan about how busy it is…so I wont.

These last two weeks have just been a joy. So many people bobbing in, wonderful people, all looking to just get cracking with their businesses. They aren’t interested in hiring a company to spend hours round a whiteboard brainstorming strategy and synergy, dont give a flying flipple flapple about an 80 page SEO report, dont give an electric monkey’s purse about which shade of green is most lonely…they just want to push their business on, get some people looking at their website, and make some sales. No fuss, no messing around, just getting down to the bare facts…I love this.

I’m going to stop before I ramble on and on about this, I’m far too passionate about a more informal approach to doing business that im only a glass of wine away from setting up some form of anti-whiteboard association.

Have a lovely weekend, thank you for reading, lots of exciting news to come :-)

We’ve just got round to scanning in this lovely letter we received from Will over at the Blacksheep Network

Just a quick note to say a big thank you for all your help making a website I can be proud of. I’m so glad I found Curlykale at the last minute, as I was about to part with the same amount of money for a company sold to me by an online agency. It would have been impossible to build a site that reflects my small business and its character talking to someone over the phone that I hadn’t met with in person.

…The site is fun, different, and really professional, It’s been so refreshing to work with an organisation that’s relaxed in the way it operated but also highly professional. Your lightening fast responsed to emails being a case in point.

I look forward to working with you again in the future, thanks again.

I’m one of those difficult and awkward types of people. Sales just doesnt (don’t? – grammar police do correct me) work on me (outside of the Tesco cheese aisle and the fruit market (I bought some odd carrots the other day – they are purple (gosh brackets, in brackets, in brackets?)) ). I have a passionate hatred of people trying to sell me something. I have been known to walk out of an establishment because a salesman suddenly approached and started doing his stuff.

The worst case I can remember was recently in a car dealership, this man was awful. He applied pressure, he was sleezy, slimey and smelled of the awful cars he pushed on to people who didn’t want them (a mixture of pine and coconut) It was raining, he told me to go drive my current car nearer the door so he could give me a rubbish valuation for it. I almost drove off, I would of, but he was busy charming my partner inside, and I would have been in serious trouble from her if I had just driven away.

To speed things along, I finally managed to escape, of course I received 76,000 phone calls a day for the next 13 days from him (I answered none)

Anyhow, I drove a little bit down the road to a lovely car company. They were glorious. They offered coffee, biscuits and cake. I even had to approach THEM to ask about the cars, never once was I pressured or pushed. They collected no details from me at all. They went out in the rain to value my current car.

Long story short, I bought their car and spent way more than I was going to.

(is this getting long?)

Since then I have been constantly amazed at how they look after me. I feel part of a little club, I feel wanted, I feel like my business is desired. I’m sure Mr Poppins from the first car shop would instantly discard me the moment I sign the contract and he receives his £100 bonus.

A week ago I found myself on the M60. I ran over a bit of metal at 5am in the morning. I pulled over to the hard shoulder and had a panic, no idea what to do. I found a helpline number on the windscreen, I gave them a ring, they answered within 0.5 seconds (this was 5am in the morning) The lovely man talked me through everything I needed to do, and arranged for recovery.

10 Minutes later, the chap rings back to see if I’m okay and to let me know that help is on its way.

A few minutes later he rang back to see how I was, and then had a chat with me whilst I stood in the rain.

Moments later a lovely chap arrived and transported me home.

I just cant get over the wonderful service this company has given me, this is the way things should be done, people talking to each other, being honest, being helpful and NICE. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another car from them, the whole experience has been perfect.

I want curlykale to be known for this level of care. I do believe we go that extra mile as shown by the wonderful car chaps. (If you do ring at 5am stranded on the motorway, I’ll do my best, but I dont think my A Level woodwork will be much help)

Well done for reading this far. To summarise…I hate sales, I hate salesman. We will never ever try and sell you anything, and I promise we will always do whatever we can to lookafter you.
